Biography

Patrick was born and raised in Essexville, MI to a father that spent almost 30 years at Delphi in Bay City and a mother that has been President of the Volleyball league in Bay City since the 1970's.  With Patrick's dad working long shifts at Delphi and developing programs, work ethic and doing the right thing was instilled at a young age.  Patrick played sports all of his life to include football, baseball and other sports whether it was school related or not school related.  At the age or 11, Patrick's dad stated he was retiring from Delphi and Patrick needed to go find a job.  At this time, Patrick applied to be a paperboy and was from the age of 11 and had the routes until the age of 18.  His dad would also help since Patrick took on multiple routes and his dad wanted some exercise as well.

In 1998, Patrick was hired while still a Senior as a welder for a company in Pinconning and before graduation, was also voted to be the safety inspector for the plant at a young age of 19.  That job included dealing with OSHA safety and guidelines in which the company had to endure.  With the rapid change of that company and the owner getting volatile since the company unionized, Patrick decided to leave before the plant closed its doors on the employees and that was the first taste of what improper ownership looked like and changed so much of how Patrick viewed the world.  Patrick decided to go to back to school and took on Computer Science and Technology at Delta CC and that is when 9/11 happened.  The attacks on the twin towers was a turning point as Patrick already had thoughts of joining the service since he was young.

Patrick joined the United States Marine Corps in July 2002 and entered boot camp in February 2003. He was asked if he wanted to go in as a welder for tanks but told the recruiter he would rather be a grunt.  Patrick earned the title of Marine in May 2003 and went on to become an Assaultman, Marksmanship Instructor, Martial Arts Instructor and had the honor of serving with some of the best in Security Forces (FAST) as 1st Battalion 9th Marines. Patrick deployed to Japan and was part of the Tsunami relief in Indonesia in 2003/2004 and Iraq in 2006.  Unfortunately, Patrick endured some injuries while in and deployed and weighed heavily on if he was able to continue the active-duty route but eventually took the departure from active duty after 4 years.  Patrick still lives by the values instilled from the Marine Corps which is Honor, Courage and Commitment.

After his active-duty stint, Patrick went back to his roots for a short period of time as a welder building transformers in Wisconsin.  After a year, he went to Iowa to work as a project manager for an electrical company building a power plant.  Patrick was laid off after the job was finished and decided to go back to school and get his business degree.  His business degree was just the start of his adventures in the storming industry.

Patrick went on to work for an up-and-coming national branded company as a salesman doing inspections for homes affected by hail and wind in 2011.  After the first year, Patrick built his cliental base and built a team behind him.  By 2013, Patrick was on roofs nonstop everyday meeting with adjusters, engineers and training employees.  By the end of 2013, he was offered a brand-new office in Michigan where he was born and raised. In 2014, the Detroit branch that was opened by Patrick and another employee from Chicago sold over $10 million in the first year with their respective teams.

After departing that corporation, Patrick looked heavy into starting his own company in which he already had designs and ideas for.  He had a partner to help with starting one company and built that company from the ground up. With the ever-changing insurance policies and personnel, the carriers send out, Patrick started doing appraisals and umpiring for his own company for a couple of years before starting UWR as its own entity.  By doing this, Patrick found his calling and teamed up with others in order to further help homeowners, contractors, and insurance companies with their claims.
